Iran says Macron's remarks to deepen distrust among JCPOA parties

Iran says comments made by the French president in his meeting with US President Donald Trump will be of no help to saving the Iran nuclear deal and will just further deepen distrust among its signatories.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi made the remarks on Friday, reacting to Emmanuel Macron's call for fresh negotiations to "extend the terms of the JCPOA," as the nuclear deal is officially called.

"Under the current circumstances, their move to raise issues beyond the JCPOA will not only fail to help save the JCPOA, but will also prepare the grounds for further distrust among the parties remaining in the agreement," the spokesman said.

Such moves will also take the US closer to the goal behind its withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, namely the collapse of the multilateral deal, he added.

In a Thursday meeting with Trump, Macron listed four common priorities of the US and France in addressing "Iranian behavior": preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, reducing Iran's ballistic activity, containing Iran's regional activity and establishing peace in the region.

"I think we do share the same objective on Iran," Macron said, calling for fresh negotiations to extend the terms of the JCPOA and to achieve those goals.

Mousavi slammed the European parties to the JCPOA for their failure to fulfill their commitments under the deal and their obligations following the US' illegal withdrawal from the agreement.

"The Europeans have failed to prepare the grounds for Iran to fully benefit from the multilateral agreement," he said.

European powers - France, Germany and Britain - have been tinkering with a much-hyped special trade vehicle known as INSTEX that purports to circumvent US sanctions and keep some semblance of business channels open to Iran.

The three countries, however, have been struggling to operationalize it, raising serious doubts about their determination to compensate for last year’s unilateral US pullout from the 2015 nuclear deal.

A recent ADL survey found that 37 percent of Americans experienced severe online hate and harassment in 2018, including sexual harassment, stalking, physical threats or sustained harassment. Seventeen percent of all users experienced hate and harassment on YouTube specifically.

Local government seized countless children based on falsified drug test results

For years, the county of Ozark, Alabama hired a private laboratory to analyze paternity and drug tests.

These were pretty critical tests… because the county would rely on those test results to determine whether or not to take someone’s children away from them.

It turns out that lab’s owner, Brandy Murrah, was FALSIFYING those results.

Instead of running a legitimate operation, Murrah pocketed the money, and faked the test results.

Then she forged a doctor’s signature to certify the results.

The only reason Murrah was ever caught is because an innocent woman who failed a drug test tracked down the doctor to ask him about the results.

The doctor was bewildered and said that he never saw any such test results… and the trail of fraud led right back to Brandy Murrah.

That woman says her custody battle for her children was negatively affected because of this fraudulent drug test. And she’s likely not alone.

The Department of Human Services says they believe there may have been a “tidal wave” of cases where children were taken away from their parents based on falsified test results.

Pretty extraordinary… especially given that Murrah had a criminal history of fraud. And yet she was still put in this important role that has such an enormous impact on people’s lives.

Diplomatic Affairs: Trump plan dead for now, could be resurrected in 2021

The US administration decided it did not want to release the plan during the campaign so as not to make the election a referendum on the plan, or to hurt Netanyahu’s chances of reelection.

The US is “not happy” about Israel going back to the polls in September, President Donald Trump said this week in no uncertain terms.

“Israel is all messed up with their election,” he told reporters, mincing no words, as he was just about to take off for Britain on Sunday.

“I mean, that came out of the blue three days ago. So that’s all messed up. They ought to get their act together. I mean, Bibi got elected. Now, all of a sudden, they’re going to have to go through the process again until September? That’s ridiculous. So we’re not happy about that.”

And why isn’t the United States happy? Because the decision to go to elections probably means that the clock will have run out on the Trump administration’s ability to unfurl its much hyped peace initiative until after the US presidential election in 2020, if at all.

Trump himself downgraded the plan during his comments before boarding the plane for London.

Asked by reporters to comment on US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s downbeat remarks about the plan in comments he made to Jewish leaders that were leaked to the press, Trump said, “Let’s see what happens,” which is a very long step back from calling it the “Deal of the Century.”

Since it is Trump himself who hyped up the plan so heavily, it is Trump himself who – as his remarks about an Israel that needs to “get its act together” attests – is among those most frustrated by the sudden turn of events.

And, indeed, Trump has himself taken the lead in trumpeting this plan.

On November 11, 2016, just three days after his election, Trump discussed his hope to secure a Palestinian-Israeli peace deal, something he talked about on and off during the campaign.

“That’s the ultimate deal,” he said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “As a deal maker, I’d like to do… the deal that can’t be made. And do it for humanity’s sake.”

Speaking to The New York Times a few days later, Trump said he “would love to be the one who made peace with Israel and the Palestinians.”

The ultimate deal then morphed into the “Deal of the Century,” and as recently as September 2018, he expressed the hope of getting the deal done during his first term.

Vox Reporter and YouTube Censorship Advocate Carlos Maza Defended Antifa, Encouraged Political Violence

Vox reporter Carlos Maza, whose pressure campaign against YouTube contributed to the mass-demonetization and banning of independent media and right-wing channels, is a former Media Matters employee who defended the violent Antifa movement.

The Vox reporter who YouTube listened to, causing the #VoxAdpocalypse, also encouraged the recent trend physical attacks against pro-Brexit politicians in the United Kingdom, in which left-wing protesters hurled milkshakes at them. “Milkshake them all,” said Maza on Twitter, which has not restricted his account for promoting physical assaults on politicians.

Maza has also defended the violent far-left Antifa movement, which engages in political violence against conservatives, as “legitimate protest.” An Antifa activist has plead guilty to plotting acid attacks against Trump supporters, and another was arrested for allegedly attacking a Trump supporter with a metal bike lock.

Sinaloa Cartel Meth Lab Worth $170 Million Seized in Mexico

A major meth lab connected to the Sinaloa Cartel worth an estimated $170 million was seized by Mexican security personnel in Sinaloa this week. Since 2018, Mexican officials busted 20 similar labs in the state.

Mexican authorities announced the seizure, consisting of three complexes, by the Mexican State Preventive Police (Policía Estatal Preventiva) of Sinaloa and the navy (La Secretaria de Marina) after an early morning Sunday raid in the rural town of El Saucito.

During the initial raid, investigators located the first lab complex which consisted of an underground storage for precursors and finished product. A second complex held a living quarters for 10 to 15 people and additional laboratory equipment. The third complex contained an industrial power generator and equipment to produce a large amount of methamphetamine. A large cache of precursor chemicals and finished product was also found.

According to the Secretary of Public Security, at least 17,750 liters of precursor chemicals were discovered within the hidden complex. The secretary estimated complex was capable of producing approximately 17 tons of methamphetamine, based on the amount of materials on site.

No arrests were made during the raid. Investigative personnel for the Federal Attorney General’s Office will continue to work to identify those responsible for the construction and maintenance of the lab, which is believed to be connected to the Sinaloa Cartel–according to local Breitbart News law enforcement sources. The site is located approximately 35 miles southwest of the state capital of Culiacán, which is the heart of Sinaloa Cartel territory.

In August 2018, Breitbart News reported three seizures totaling more than 120,000 pounds of methamphetamine in Sinaloa, believed to belong to the Sinaloa Cartel aka Cártel del Pacífico.

UN Slams U.S. Abortion Laws as “Extremist Hate” and “Torture”

The United Nations’ deputy high commissioner for human rights said on Wednesday that the numerous abortion bans being passed in the United States are a form of “extremist hate” that amount to “torture.”

“We have not called it out in the same way we have other forms of extremist hate, but this is gender-based violence against women, no question,” Kate Gilmore told The Guardian.

“It’s clear it’s torture — it’s a deprivation of a right to health,” she added.

Gilmore said experts have noted that banning abortion outright, as several U.S. states have come close to doing in recent months, violates humans rights. States like Georgia, Alabama, Missouri and Ohio have passed strict abortion restrictions that would bar abortions before many women even know they are pregnant.

“This is a crisis.” Gilmore said. “It’s a crisis directed at women.”

Gilmore also accused well-funded anti-abortion groups of ignoring evidence to advance their political goals.

“It’s an assault on truth, science and universal values and norms,” she said. “You’re entitled to your own opinion, but you’re not entitled to your own facts.”

This week, the largest organization of obstetricians and gynecologists in the U.S. also spoke out about the science used to restrict abortion rights, taking aim at early abortion bans proponents describe as “heartbeat bills.” These bills ban abortions as early as six weeks, when an ultrasound can detect a fetal “heartbeat.” But the term “heartbeat” isn’t medically correct, because at such an early stage in the pregnancy, the embryo doesn’t have a heart.

Foreign Al-Qaeda Terrorists Shell Syrian Army In Northern Hama With Turkish-Made Mortars

On June 6, the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) news agency, known as Islam Awazi, released photos showing the terrorist group’s fighters shelling positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the northern Hama countryside with a Turkish-made mortar cannon.

The mortar was identified as HY-12, a licensed copy of the French MO-120-RT [Mortier de 120mm Rayé Tracté Modèle F1]. These mortars are manufactured by Turkey’s MKEK. The 120mm mortar has a range of more than 8km and can fire 6-10 rounds per minute.

The TIP is one of the biggest al-Qaeda branches in Syria with more than 3,000 Uyghurs fighters. These terrorists are occupying many settlements in northern Lattakia and northwestern Idlib, including the strategic city of Jisr al-Shughur.

This was not the first time when Turkish-made HY-12 mortars were spotted with militants in northern Hama. Last month, fighters of the National Front for Liberation (NFL) were seen with this type of mortar. Turkey is believed to be the supplier.

Both the TIP and the NFL are supporting the ongoing large-scale military operation of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in northern Hama.

Chinese Leader Xi Jinping Calls US President Trump His Friend

Chinese leader Xi Jinping on June 7 called U.S. President Donald Trump his friend and said he believed the United States was not interested in rupturing economic ties with China.

Speaking in the Russian city of St. Petersburg at an economic forum, Xi said there were strong trade and investment connections between China and the United States.

“It’s hard to imagine a complete break of the United States from China or of China from the United States. We are not interested in this, and our American partners are not interested in this. President Trump is my friend and I am convinced he is also not interested in this,” Xi said in Chinese, interpreted into Russian and then translated into English by Reuters.

This is the first time Xi has publicly called Trump his friend.

Meanwhile, the U.S. president has often referred to his friendship with the Chinese leader, even after relations between the two countries soured when the latest round of trade talks broke down in early May.

“My respect and friendship with President Xi is unlimited but, I have told him many times before, this must be a great deal for the United States or it just doesn’t make any sense,” Trump wrote in a tweet on May 14, four days after U.S. tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods increased to 25 percent from 10 percent.

Uber Chief Operating Officer, Chief Marketing Officer Resign - Reports

Uber’s Chief Operating Officer Barney Harford and Chief Marketing Officer Rebecca Messina are stepping down, company's CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said an email to employees on Friday, CNBC reported.

Khosrowshahi said that Uber’s progress now gives him the time to be more directly involved in the company’s day-to-day operations, according to CNBC, Khosrowshahi also wrote in the email that he decided the heads of Uber’s core businesses should report directly to him.

“This will allow me to be more hands-on and help our leaders problem-solve in real time, while also ensuring that we make our platform vision a reality”, he said, cited by CNBC.

Because of the organizational changes, Khosrowshahi said Harford agreed that the chief operating officer role “no longer makes sense” and decided to leave the company, CNBC reported.

Khosrowshahi also said he decided to combine Uber’s marketing, communications and policy teams in order to maintain a “unified narrative to consumers, partners, the press, and policymakers”, according to CNBC.

Uber is a taxi service that allows users to order a private taxi. The company was created in 2009 and is headquartered in San Francisco.
