Hunter Biden’s Bohai Harvest investment fund (which received $1bn+ from Chinese govt) is invested in a Chinese surveillance company called Megvii which makes a facial recognition program called Face++

About a month ago Human Rights Watch put out a report on how the Chinese government has created a police state in the western province of Xinjiang. There’s been wide reporting of targeting ethnic minority population (Muslim Uighurs) and putting them in internment camps.

In the HRW report they accused Megvii/Face++ of being part of the Xinjiang police state/Uighur persecution (no mention of hunter Biden of course)

I know without a doubt that Megvii is working in Xinjiang which de facto means they’re part of the suite of tools being used to create a potential genocide. But all the reporting coming out now (ie Bloomberg piece above) is basically absolving Megvii (thus Bohai, thus Biden) from profiting off the atrocities.We’ll blow the whole thing wide open if we can get documented evidence that Megvii tech is specifically used in crackdown on Uighurs.

Reason Megwii and the Chicoms want to downplay this is Trump could ban them from doing business with US (like Huawei et al). Huge opportunity to continue to tighten screws on China, look like a human rights savior AND draw attention to fact hunter Biden profits from humanitarian crisis.

It’s a total strawman… they are intent on saying Megvii code is not used in this app “IJOP” but whether it is or isn’t means nothing.

There’s the HRW correction that allows everyone to say “nothing to see here, Megvii is innocent”

PS—Note the very careful wording of the correction. Should be easy to flat out deny your product is being used to perpetrate pseudo-genocide. But no, highly technical specifics that muddy the water.

Also note that Megvii is being repped by a firm called Brunswick group. Strange phrasing by HRW “we are grateful”… almost like “thank you so much Brunswick group, now we can tell all the people asking if Biden firm involved in genocide to pound sand”.
