Interesting to think JA was basically locked inside his house for 8 years because if he went outside for any reason, he'd likely be attacked arrested or murdered.

That institutionalizes a person, changes their mind, affects the way they act. Not being able to see the world change day to day causes your mind to become complacent and out of touch with everyone else who does see the day to day changes.

It's like going to prison.

And the fact that that same exact thing is going to happen to a LOT of deserving people is amazing.

The streets will not be safe for them.
