2 people found dead in burning car, Midlands sheriff says

 

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC

Investigators are trying to determine what killed two people whose bodies were found in a burning car Tuesday, according to the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Deputies were notified just before 6 a.m. about a vehicle fire off Ridgewood Drive, according to a news release Tuesday evening from the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.

 

The Times & Democrat reported that the vehicle was partially submerged in a pond.

Missing Spring man found dead in wooded area near Conroe Park Drive

 

Greg Broussard was reported missing June 6 after not appearing to work at Buckalew Chevrolet in Conroe where the 56-year-old was a longtime employee. He appeared to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Conroe Police Department.

Missing Waukesha County man found dead in Lisbon

 

The family of Daniel J. Murphy, 46, of Lisbon last saw him about 10 p.m. Sunday. The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office believe he left his home on foot.

 

The sheriff's office said Murphy was found dead in Lisbon.

Dix Hills man found dead with gunshot wound in house, police say

 

A Dix Hills man who was shot once was found dead in his home Tuesday evening and detectives are investigating the death as a murder, police said.

 

Armindo Reis, 74, who lived alone, was discovered unconscious about 6:15 p.m. by his son at the Penn Drive house, Suffolk County police said in a news release Wednesday.

Elderly New Jersey Couple Found Dead at Shore Home in Murder-Suicide

 

Authorities say an elderly couple found dead in their home at the New Jersey shore apparently died in a murder-suicide.

 

Ocean County prosecutors say the bodies of a 79-year-old man and his 80-year-old wife were found Tuesday when officers went to their Brick Township home to do a welfare check on the couple.

 

Prosecutors say each person died from single gunshot wounds.

 

They say it appears the man shot his wife before turning the gun on himself, but they note the investigation is ongoing.

Missing, suicidal woman found dead aboard burned Daytona boat

 

DAYTONA BEACH — A missing, suicidal woman last believed to be aboard a blazing boat was discovered dead inside the vessel five days later, authorities said Tuesday.

 

State fire marshal investigators found the body of Nikki Shriver, 31, on an interior bench beneath a cushion Monday, according to Daytona Beach police spokesman Messod Bendayan. Fire damage concealed her remains from first responders during their June 5 search of the 1979 Morgan Craft sailboat, he said.

Missing Springfield man found dead in his apartment, police say

 

Police say a Springfield man who had been reported missing last week was recently found dead in his apartment.

 

The Springfield Police Department sent out a news release Friday asking for the public's help tracking down 47-year-old Brendon Kelly, who was possibly ill and had not been seen for days.

Berks coroner IDs missing man found dead in Manatawny Creek

 

Lyle C. Hish was found in the Manatawny Creek in Amity Township, not far from the house where he lived, according to the Berks County coroner.

 

Hish, 37, was last seen at his home along the creek on Saturday, the coroner said. Family members had reported him missing to police.

 

A police corporal told 69 News on Thursday that investigators do not suspect foul play being involved in Hish's disappearance and death.

 

An autopsy will be done in hopes of determining how Hish died.
