Great Op Ed and I have another question I have always wondered about.

The colonies considered them selves independent nation states or "countries" if you will, as they should have. They got together and created a Federation of very few ENUMERATED powers they were willing to give over for two main reasons:

1) Making sure that if ONE was attacked from the outside again, ALL nation states would respond.

2) Creating a body of law capable of arbitrating between the states to prevent one state from making war against another, the way Michigan and Ohio went to war, for example.

To this I note that of the enumerated powers, the states maintained their jurisdiction over criminal law and criminal courts.

This is why the death penalty is decided by states and not the Fed for example.

My question is, how the hell did we get an FBI (Federal Bureau of INVESTIGATION... not Federal Bureau of Police... it is good to note)

When created, they DARED NOT call it the FBP. And when did they decide it was ok for the FEDS to start acting like police?

So they create a Federal Jurisdiction, and then take their swat teams and raid people's homes now, just like the tyrannical kings use to. How did we get here?

And since when is it ok that the FBI act in secret in ANY manner?

What is the justification? Someone might give away the identity of an FBI agent, and he might get killed?

Ok, investigations. We do not have a right to know who is being investigated? Grand Juries I can understand, because an innocent person's life can be ruined for being a subject of a grand jury.

Other than this, we should not be filing FOIA requests for ANYTHING.

And when did we start getting "Secret Courts, Secret Proceedings, etc"

Courts need to be open. A gag order should not even be allowed. Common law is built on court decisions published. Courts are kept from corruption by allowing citizens into the court, especially journalists.

The whole system has become corrupt, and the un-enumerated Federal police power is out of control due to secrecy.

In fact the whole federal government is full of three letter agencies that have no enumerated power.

There is not federal enumerated power for a DEA. They could not even say shit about alcohol without creating an amendment to the Constitution to do it during prohibition.

So, where does HUD get off? Where does the BLM have a right to exist? How the hell does the Federal system claim rights to ANY property except for the small bits enumerated in the Constitution without amending the Constitution as they did for prohibition?

How do we justify this secret court crap, and court gag order crap, in a free nation where the citizens need to know what decisions were made to keep corruption and secret illegal trials from making political hit decisions, rather than decisions based on the law, and justice?

So OP ED is asking good questions.

And there are so many more good questions about who paid off who, to write a bill to create these agencies that have reigned tyranny down on America. This includes the Federal Reserve, the IRS, the FDA that allows for the poisoning of our food and enforces the will of Big Pharma to the detriment of American citizens, the Transportation Departments that took away our freedom to travel without permission ("license"), the Agriculture Departments and the EPA that go around telling private property owners they can not farm on a puddle on their land? The BLM that goes around creating Federal parks so they can take further land rights from the states? TOTALLY against the Constitution which grants the feds very tiny specific properties for specific purposes.

Do they even have the right to run the Airports? Really? What is the reason that the states cant do it, I wonder?

They use to give US land to settlers for free, and this land is what allowed many to take out loans to build businesses. 80% of Americas businesses were started on loans backed by homes, farms and other personal property. Now, the Feds are selling land, but only to corporations and foreign ones at that. Who gave the feds the right to sell American land to foreigners? How is it that Harry Reed had a deal with the Chinese to let the Chinese use the whole center of Nevada as a Communist run solar farm so the Chinese communists could charge Americans for electricity?How is it that a Spanish company, Cintas, runs the toll road collection on I80 in Ohio?

Would we even HAVE a welfare population if we were still allowing Americans to settle the country? There is still PLENTY of country to settle today.

Good lord.

Scrap the whole system and start over. It does WAY WAY more harm than good.
