they got the info for the article from Newsome's staff - not the girl's family and certainly NOT the medical examiner.
however, the article says she had a heart condition. If she expires and has symptoms at the time that can be caused by whatever the fuck the heart condition produces - they don't HAVE to do an autopsy.
If a doctor will certify cause of death, there is NO LAW that says they have to. It is policy - not requirement.
Family can deny that autopsy is needed - UNLESS it is a potential crime.
That is certainly a consideration.
