I don't like that the royals had an American marry in to the family. It stinks of securing power & alliances.
Doesn't matter if Americans knew her or not. She's American and as far as the royals are concerned that's all they needed was any American woman. The more 'common' the better, so a Deal or No Deal D-List reality tv model/yacht whore fits the bill.
