The Earth (and other celestial bodies in the Solar System) orbit the Sun. The Sun (and all other stars in the galaxy) orbits the black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. The stars are always moving relative to the center of the galaxy, so we see them in roughly the same positions. so technically we move with them, they don't 'follow' us. Kind of a rough explanation I suggest watching space/astronomy documentaries to clarify
