So, perhaps it's a combination of stupidity and fear. They joined in the evil; POTUS came along and is fighting it…….now, they're between a shit and a squat. They know the evil PTB will leave them and CTA and they don't know where to turn.

I will disagree with you. A group of roofers did my neighbors roof 2 winters ago. In December. Not an illegal in the bunch. Americans and a few Amish. They were quick and did a good job at a reasonable price. So, your "experienced" story doesn't jive with mine. Your story may be anecdotal, as mine may be too. Perhaps it depends on how much the contractor wants to gouge his customers. Greed breeds illegal workers.
Every single person in the world is vulnerable. Not only to the PTB but also to natural forces. One fights when one must fight. One relaxes when it's time to relax.

If it's disturbing you this much, do the next logical step. Stop watching, listening, studying politics. Go outside, enjoy the smells, the birds, the weather. Let the elements control you, not other humans.
