If you can't spot a shill, don't engage. Oldfags know how to handle them. Watch and learn. Keep in mind that most of the shills are PAID and actually earn additional from replies they receive. The less they are engaged, the better, and only when it's advantageous to the anon community in some way.
You'll develop those skills over time, but if you are new your efforts are better spent working on memes, helping dig or discussing ideas.
