You've got it backwards…a roofing contractor I spoke to just this past month told me hiring Americans was a disaster…charge too much, work too slow, and he has to send crews back over and over to fix the shoddy work and pay out warranty claims and dealing with drunk dopers who show up late, if at all when they're not in jail.
The 'beaners' show up early, work hard and fast, and do the job right the first time, no comebacks. The way he explained it, it was the difference between a thriving, successful company and going out of business. It all made sense.
I can tell you that I stop at a convenience store about the time the mornings crews are in for coffee and the Mexican crews are sober and all business…the American ones look like a labor pool prison reunion and half of them are still f'd from the night before. Sample of one shoe survey, but eyes on validate reports from the field.
If the truth hurts…mocking it doesn't fix it. But if it makes you feel better. I'm just telling it like it is. Back handing the messenger because you don't like the message isn't making a difference. But, please tell us your alternative version so we can have a second theory to work with.
