As previously posted, am pro-photogAnon. The slightest angle of the camera makes all the difference in the world. You can see in the NZ pic that the angle is not straight ahead- on purpose. It's also snapped at a slightly lower level to the subject; it's shot from below his chin which causes a bit of distortion on protruding objects- like the nose. It would seem bigger than in reality because the photog is underneath the nose which highlights that area causing it to appear larger.
Differences can also be magnified or subdued due to lighting and the type of lens used. Appears the NZ lens may have had a slight 'fish-eye' curvature to it, again distorting the features.
You can also see that the NZ pic is not as 'fresh'- almost seems like it may have been taken a decade ago with less 'pixel exposure'. This was supposedly shot by a news team- doncha think they have the latest tech- all the pixels a news service should have? Just look at the quality. They're hiding it in plain sight.
