Off-Duty LAPD Officer Among 3 Injured in Corona Costco Shooting That Left 1 Dead
A shooting inside a Costco in Corona left one dead and three hurt, including an off-duty Los Angeles police officer who sustained minor injuries, authorities said Saturday.
Corona police officers responded to reports of an active shooting inside the store at 480 N. McKinley Street at 7:46 p.m. Friday, according to the Police Department.
The officers arrived to find four people injured on the floor, officials said. One of them died at the scene, while the three others—including an off-duty officer—were taken to the hospital, according to Corona police.
The officer involved works at the Los Angeles Police Department's southwest division and has been discharged from the hospital after suffering minor injuries, LAPD said Saturday. The Police Department described the incident as an officer-involved shooting.
