Yesterday, RCMP Corporal Glen Kibsey refused to comment on whether the RCMP uses Promis software.
U.S. embassy spokesperson Buck Shinkman said he was not aware of any RCMP investigation, or any developments in the Promis file.
[John Belton] said RCMP officers told him they are investigating whether the Mounties have Inslaw's Promis software, if it was stolen, and whether the security of the RCMP has been compromised as a result of trap doors in the software.
