Why are we still pushing the ‘sealed indictments’ angle?
I thought it was understood that the totals we were seeing and believed were sealed indictments were just an artifact of incorrectly set PACER search settings.
The Anons who have access to PACER and are running the searches, have been incorrectly leaving the ‘Selection Criteria for Report’ setting on the default ‘ALL’ whereas they should have changed it to ‘Cr’ to filter for Criminal cases.
By leaving the setting on ‘ALL’ we are seeing counts for EVERYTHING sealed i.e. sealed DOCUMENTS and PROCEEDINGS etc as well.
Presumably the actual number of sealed indictments is higher than normal, but until the searches are done properly we won’t know for sure.
I appears that the Anons responsible for this disinfo, made an honest mistake to begin with.
The Anons were new to the PACER system and didn’t really understand how it worked.
But, they have since become aware of the error and have knowingly failed to correct it. They have chosen to double down on this BS and are now misleading Anons.
It should be obvious by now that the claimed numbers of sealed indictments are rediculously high and implausible.
Time to acknowledge the fuck up and move on (preferably with some valid PACER search results).
