What's the relationship between ICLEI's Resilient Cities & the ISD's Strong Cities?

CALL for a DIGG

The Strong Cities Network is a subset of the Institute for Strategic Dialogue in London (ISD)

https://www.isdglobal.org/programmes/policy-government-advisory/strong-cities-network/

ISD also combats "extremism" including opposed groups like Q group: see this article by Kelly Weill of the Daily Beast: https://www.thedailybeast.com/how-fringe-groups-are-using-qanon-to-amplify-their-wild-messages?source=articles&via=rss, 2019-02-20.

Notice how similar ISD's Strong Cities movement is to ICLEI's resilient cities idea. Both use a local base to promote globalist rule, although Strong Cities emphasizes the targeting of "extremism" in its charter.

Passage below is from https://strongcitiesnetwork.org/en/about-the-scn/frequently-asked-questions/

What is the Strong Cities Network?

The Strong Cities Network is the first ever global network of mayors, policymakers and practitioners united in building social cohesion and resilience to counter violent extremism in all its forms.

We connect cities, towns and regions around the world to share their local best practice on an international scale and collaborate at the subnational level to prevent violent extremism and the conditions in which extremism and radicalisation can take hold in communities.

The Strong Cities Network is made up of member cities in every major global region, each with specific lessons, practice or challenges surrounding violent extremism. We work with mayors and local political leaders and frontline practitioners spanning multiple sectors in each member city. We also work closely with civil society groups and partner organisations in many areas.

We believe that local communities are uniquely placed to counter violent extremism and create stronger and safer cities. We serve as a platform for communities, CVE professionals and local political leaders to connect with their counterparts around the world and learn from the breadth one another’s experience. Our programming spans training, research, project implementation and capacity-building, and learning resources aimed at enriching understanding of – and enabling more effective local responses to – the challenge of violent extremism.

In sourcing and sharing best practice in local CVE, the Strong Cities Network does not aim to create a ‘blueprint’ for local strategies. We are characterised by the diversity of our membership and the various forms of violent extremism present in each city. Our priority is to help cities identify where there is leading local practice, assess what factors can support good practice in a given context, and adapt and improve upon their own strategy design and implementation with a full appreciation of the specificity of one context to another.

Hello, LB baker and current bakerb. this is BU graveyard baker. Noice to see so many bakers in the evening, been a long time since someone signed up for this shift (instead of ghost bake).

Was curious about the pastebin, read thru it, didn't notice the missing comma/dead link, nice catch, baker.

On >>6769309, thanks for the archive link, baker. This is the first time I've linked to it since it was taken down by META. There are lots of resources there, especially on Institute for Strategic Management, which has tons of funding from the US DoD, among other things, even tho it's located in London. And it attacks Q group, there's a whole report funded by Soros on supposed interference by Q community in the Bavarian elections last year:

>>5497591 Soros-sponsored report says Q movement promoted anti-democratic ideas in Bavarian elections

I've been trying to get "eyes on" this group for a while but needed a news peg.

If I remember right, I was the first baker that responded when you said you wanted to bake and asked if you had questions. I didn't stay, I've been baking a lot and needed some time off. Another baker stayed for two breads, is that right? I dropped in right after that bread was baker, spent the evening redpilling a friend. He wasn't too happy, kek, hates politics.

Yes, I'm more big picture than detail-oriented, but this is a great place to practice getting nit-picky. Any number of nit-picky things to notice, lol. My first live bakes were not that brutal, but I spent an entire month practicing because I was paralyzed with terror. Was very surprised to find I liked baking very much once I started, only did it to avoid falling-off-the-cliff e-bakes practically every night after Night Watch baker had to leave graveyard.

Tougher now, I think, to bake because shills are really lobbing it at bakers right now, was not really true until recently. Attacking the idea of baker's handles–mine is gyb–like it's bad because non-anon. But it's good for comms, espec when trying to figure out coverage for breads (necessary because of small no of bakers). Don't care what the shills think, they can take a flying leap.

I'm thinking that both of the bakers here right now are newish (or coming back after being away)? Want to say THANK YOU BAKERS for stepping up during this critical time, when there is such a need. Lotta praying lately for new blood.

Headline is different than what follows. DJT is open, but he'd be nuts to say to someone like GS, 'Yes, UFOs definitely exist." Would be too good a distraction from….uh….earthly political habbenings.

Yeah, was kind of shocked when I first realized how closely certain shills track anyone who stands out. And you don't need a handle to stand out, human beings are such individuals, it shows. Standing together, we'll defeat them.

>>6769547 "C40 Cities" is taking 'bold climate action'

notable

Looks like there's a whole group of city-oriented orgs trying to take over the globe from the bottom up, using zoning regs and other city-centered laws and regs to accomplish UN-style takeover.

So far, there is ICLEI, Strong Cities, and this group C40 CITIES. What other organizations are out there on the city level?

Haven't been around a lot when Q posts because I started in March doing mostly night bakes (slower), and Q was posting during the day. When Q posts during a fast bake (but slower now with captchas, kek), it's obvious that bakers stop focusing on notables. I would go to the bottom of bread right away, to catch new Qs. Have to watch for end of bread, comes up fast even now.

You are correct, posted 7 times, notable at some point I imagine. But here is one of the posts:

Chirlane McCray was assigned a $850million budget for her ThriveNYC program

But records show scheme has failed to keep track of what it spent the money on

The small amount of data that was collected shows it fell far short of targets

Despite that, organizers have expanded the budget to $1billion over five years

Bill de Blasio's wife Chirlane McCray cannot explain where $850million given to the mental health program she champions has gone, according to reports.

In the three years it has been running, organizers at ThriveNYC have largely failed to keep records of the initiative's achievements - and data that has been collected shows it lagging well behind targets.

Despite that, the program has been granted an even bigger budget going forward and is now on track to spend $1billion over five years.

The data comes from a Politico report that shows those running the scheme have largely failed to measure its impact or keep track of spending.

Thrive said it has developed a list of 417 metrics to measure how effective the program is moving forward, but asked to assess its impact so far, Politico said the data was piecemeal and showed a largely failing picture.

For example, 29 hospitals had agreed to screen almost 78,000 new mothers for post-natal depression each year as part of the scheme.

But over the course of two years between 2016 and 2018 the hospital screened a little over 28,000 patients and just 570 were offered help, a fraction of the 12,000 to 15,000 who were estimated to need care.

The data also showed almost 190,000 Narcan kits were handed out to hospital where opioid use is common, but there is no evidence of how many were used.

The site said it had tried and failed to acquire a line-item budget from Thrive, and the two budget breakdowns it had seen showed wildly different numbers

P. S. ''De Blasio was on a Strong Cities Panel not too long ago, along with Loretta Lynch and Sasha Havlicek, the head of The Institute for Strategic Dialogue. (capped)

I think the UN is linked to the International Baccalaureate program in high schools but haven't looked into it much. This program is hard to find out about for those outside of it. Would be a good dig.
