I went to the Renaissance fair a couple of years ago after having not been there for about 10 years.
I was surprised how it had become more left leaning.
The performers and the attendees.

It's pretty much a ripoff
You have to pay to get in and then spend a bunch more while there.
Also, the costumes that attendees wear now have gone from Renaissance garb to creepy weird stuff.

It's not anything that's period correct
It's costumes based on mythical creatures
The cities end up controlling the whole state.

So instead of being

we will become
The United Cities of America
the cities control the states
citystates
I think the problem isn't when rogue members of organizations commit these crimes.
It's when the leaders of these organizations commit these crimes.
