I've ascended beyond the 3D without once requiring any aspect of any religion to guide me. We are all gods from source. I've learned to go within and ask myself for answers that are unknown to me, and my higher self provides every single time.
It did, and its one of the reasons I started going back trying to make amends with people who I've had problems with in the past. I believe 100% in karma. Not sure if this is where you were going with this, but it's how I interpreted it.
It's an amazing feeling once you learn to master it all. Some of recieved our calling earlier than others, but I believe Qs Great Awakening is the end game for everyone, we just have to wait for others to catch up.
