>>>6769229 FBI uses Cloudfare

Can somebody explain to me why this is notable in particular? Virtually every major website on the internet uses Cloudflare DNS for DDoS protection. That's a worrying thing in itself since it creates centralization and an avenue for potential censorship, but I guess what I'm asking is, what did I miss regarding Cloudflare? Was there a dig on it?

I've looked at it, but it doesn't seem much different from what you would expect. Perhaps it's an intelligence operation front, like much of Silicon Valley.

That doesn't change the fact that virtually every web site of any significance or interest uses Cloudflare DNS for DDoS protection. So I'm not sure why the fact that the FBI's web site uses it would be in any way "notable."

Might be as simple as Chuckie's PR flaks calling in a favor at the NYT to get them to frame up the facts in a manner that distances him from NXIVM. The headline in particular does that, although (as is often the pattern) the substance of the article doesn't particularly support it.
