Take that plus the way that companies hire nowadays, it's a fucking meat market. Back in the 70s, people could just walk in, fill out an application, whatever, and probably get a job. Now with these fucking applicant tracking systems, you are just a number. I got three fucking degrees and I gave up finding a job in any of my fields and started my own business. I shouldn't have to dole out the equivalent of a year's salary just to get the degree required for that job. Salaries don't increase. Only tuition.
I deal with dumbfucks from almost every generation on a daily basis. Silent (every once in a while), Boomer, Gen X, Millennial. Millennials are fucked up because of all of the goddamn brainwashing in schools. They never lose, they believe their businesses should just magically profit without putting in leg work. I would know about the brainwashing in public schools (in a VERY liberal city, no less). They tried to work me over. Too bad my silent generation parents taught me how to think for myself.
Large majority of boomers I deal with are arrogant assholes. Why? They're business owners or high up in the food chain. Thing is, they hire me to unfuck their businesses. Then they tell me I don't know what the fuck I'm doing…why are you paying me $300/hour if I'm such an idiot? That level of arrogance transcends generations. Millennials argue with me about shit and I think the same. They NEED to be right. Their egos do not allow them to be wrong. Think this isn't part of the agenda? Let's stop the division. There's asshats in every generation. We just hear about the worst offenders.
