>… wasnt "morning star" another name for satan?

Incorrect.
The term "Lucifer" was used to refer to the planet we now call Venus. The term "Lucifer" means "Light-Bearer."
Back in the day, when translations of biblic scripture were done by individual scholars or scribes, someone decided to use the term "Lucifer" in the scripture for the descriptions of Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Assyria, who the Jews hated.
This description of Nebuchadnezzar was made symbolic within the scripture and likened to the role of "Adversary to God" - what we would now call Satan.
The planet we now call Venus, or, "The Morning Star" as it was more typically known back in the day, was the symbol for Astrology/Astronomy and the observance of our universe. Stars were (and are) used for navigation, positioning, the accounting of time and the basis that drove innovation of the math and sciences in their proto-forms.
Thus, it is why the many different groups who observed the stars and taught the ways of building the world came to use the symbols of Lucifer - the Light Bearer - the star that brought the Sun - to mark their following. These would become the five-petal flower and/or the Pentagram, as this is the pattern Venus makes in the sky relative to the other stars.
Of course, anyone can wear a symbol. Anyone can copy symbols and try to stand on their reputation. The scribes thought they would copy the scholars, just making a few adjustments here and there to fit their plans to serve the pharisee….
And for a while, it's worked. However, the rise of the internet was something not truly accounted for in their projections. These are scribes whose job is to copy, not actually do. Doesn't take a whole lot of intellect and, therefore, their plans were formidable, but increasingly constructed of complacency and stupidity rather than observance and calculation… Or even just some sort of clever intuition.
That is why you have bible shills trying to "offer forgiveness" to the masons. Faith is a powerful thing. Fear of the unknown is also a very powerful thing - and much easier to find. Religions make it easy. "There is one god, our god, and you are forgiven if you get in on this orgy of chants and songs."
Those of us who have turned out blades back at this notion of God and demanded it verify its intentions - have found that the answer provided was radically different from the formula used by the scribe. The scribes aren't able to control God, or the good nature of people… But they can dress up an Idol, and refer to it as the God many know exists, and make all of the stories in scripture glorify that idol while inserting little snippets along the way to erode the understanding of good and evil we all have.
That is the "secret" - the seed of the Pomegranate, the Fruit of Knowledge - the original "red pill" made it so that we know good from evil. We do not need an idol to arbitrate or a pharisee to broker salvation on our behalf. While we are animals - pigs in human clothing - when not disciplined or taught; the notion that we need to be afraid of an idol's judgment of our soul is hogwash. We know good from evil. The only "question" is what constitutes a good or evil action. Good people want to do good and need to be taught how to avoid doing things that are ultimately evil despite their intentions.
When the layers of the physical world are stripped back, and a person can be seen for strictly the nature of their soul - we are all able to see just as God is.
If you do not accept this to be true, then you inherently reject the Eden story and its basis for "original sin" - which means you also must subsequently reject the claims of the bible that the tribe and god of Abraham was anything other than an Arab tribal god - one among dozens.
This is the basis for our concept of law. We forego the animal instinct for revenge because we realize it is not justice and that a wrong act does not always indicate an evil person. Justice, therefore, is more than simple punishment or revenge. It is also the basis around which we have created due process of law. How a law is recognized, the fact that a law is subject to evaluation and alteration. It is the belief that human beings are good - if still trying to figure out how to reliably be so - and that our laws do not stem from the arbitrary words of a god as relayed to us by bishop and scribe - but by a logical and critical analysis of ourselves.
Of course the scribes and bishops would create labels and subversive movements to try and counter such an insurrection against their power. They didn't hesitate to dress up an idol as God, they sure as hell wouldn't think twice about creating several others and claiming them to be Satan or Pagan.
