the thing that changed were the technically illiterate phonefags posting jpegs in greater numbers

it is an issue if you are concerened about the archives of these posts
some are just lazy (won't put in the effort to convert from JPEG to PNG)
some are just ignorant (don't know how to convert)
some are doing it to be subversive (know that it fux up the archives)
