You most likely won't know who this is, but former sportsball boss Michel Platini (head of UEFA, Vice President of FIFA) has been arrested for corruption.

It looks like the USA should have got the 2022 World Cup, but French President Sarkozy (the "miscegenation is the challenge of the 21st century" one) cooked up some deal regarding Paris St Germain with Qatar, so our boy gave it to them instead. I also saw him giving a masonic handshake at some ceremony once.
