We all have opinions none are as scathing as yours were. He was not arrested, he was not the perpetrator, he was the one that was injured. Your comment seemed to draw an opinion with out considering all the facts.

We agree on that. Sometimes though anon it no matter what one does there are things that can't be fixed. It would seem his wife clearly had some problems with alcohol and the son perhaps was acting out of anger toward her behavior, sounds like he had enough.

‘Hillary And Clinton’ Broadway Play Will End Early

The Broadway show “Hillary and Clinton,” based on the lives of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, will end early due to low ticket sales. The play, written by Lucas Hnath, made its Broadway debut in April and will have played 77 shows and 37 previews by the time it officially closes, The New York Times reported Monday. “Hillary and Clinton” cost $4.2 million to fund and has only made a gross sum of $291,098 since its opening. Its final performance was scheduled for July 21 but has been changed to June 23.

The show is set in a New Hampshire hotel room in 2008, where the fictional couple named Hillary Clinton, played by Laurie Metcalf, and Bill Clinton, played by John Lithgow, discuss the former secretary of state’s presidential run and then-Democratic Illinois Sen. Barack Obama’s growing success. Hnath described his production as “a play about the Clintons that’s not a play about the Clintons.” Metcalf was nominated for a Tony Award but did not win.

A critic’s review of the play in the New York Times describes it as “piquant” and “slender.” “Even though some of what happens here is pure fiction, I doubt you’ll be surprised by anything that’s said,” author Ben Brantley wrote. “The scenes between Hillary and Bill, in particular, feel like fairly obvious externalizations of common speculations about their prototypes’ relationship.” The real Hillary and Bill Clinton also struggled with ticket sales this year for their speaking tour, with some tickets going on sale for 50% off at about $20 in the 13 cities they visited. VIP seats started at a sale price of $1,785 in November and went on sale for $829 at Seattle’s WaMu Theatre.

Google Announces It Will Invest $1 Billion In San Francisco Bay Area Housing

Google plans to invest $1 billion in San Francisco Bay Area housing, including thousands of homes on its land, according to a company announcement Tuesday. Over the next 10 years, the tech giant plans to “repurpose at least $750 million” of its land into residential housing. Doing so will mean it can help develop at least 15,000 all-income-level homes in the Bay Area in an effort to “address the chronic shortage of affordable housing options,” the announcement read. It also plans to establish $250 million in an investment fund. The goal is to “provide incentive to enable developers to build at least 5,000 affordable housing units.” Google will be giving $50 million worth of grants to nonprofits that focus on “homelessness and displacement” in addition to the $18 million grants it already gave over the past five years.

“For several months, we have encouraged Google to make a bold commitment to address our region’s affordable housing challenge,” said San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, according to CNBC. “We look forward to working with Google to ensure today’s announcement manifests into housing that will benefit thousands of San José residents struggling under the burden of high rents,” Liccardo continued. Google is planning on expanding in San Jose, CNBC reported.

Tech companies such as Google and Alphabet, Google‘s parent company, have faced issues from local communities because they say the company’s expansion affects places like the Bay Area. This announcement could dissipate planned protests for Alphabet, CNBC reported. There are more than 45,000 Google employees living in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is known to have limited housing opportunities, according to CNBC.

New Zealand Man Jailed for Nearly Two Years for Sharing Video of Christchurch Attack

A New Zealand court sentenced a man to nearly two years in jail on Tuesday for sharing a video of the terrorist attack at a Mosque in Christchurch in March. Philip Arps, 44, was sentenced to 21 months in prison at a court in Christchurch on Tuesday, having previously pleaded guilty to two charges of distributing objectionable material. The attack, live-streamed on social media, saw the self-described “ethno-nationalist” Brenton Tarrant murder 51 people and injure dozens more at Christchurch Mosque during Friday prayers. Soon after the attack, New Zealand’s Office of Film and Literature classified the video as “objectionable,” making it a criminal offense to possess, share, or host it. Those found guilty doing so can face up to 14 years in jail.

According to RNZ, Arps sent footage of the attack to around 30 people, even asking an unknown individual to add cross-hairs and a body count to “make it more fun.” During sentencing on Tuesday, District Judge Stephen O’Driscoll said that Arps had described the video as “awesome.” “Your offending glorifies and encourages the mass murder carried out under the pretext of religious and racial hatred,” District Court Judge Stephen O’Driscoll said. “It is clear from all the material before me that you have strong and unrepentant views towards the Muslim community.” “Your actions in distributing the day after the attack, when families were still waiting to hear whether family members had been killed, demonstrates particular cruelty on your part and callousness on your part,” he continued.

Similar to Brenton Tarrant, Arps reportedly identified himself as a white supremacist and held virulently strong views against the country’s Muslim population. According to court documents, Arps had previously been charged with “offensive behavior” in 2016 and fined 800 New Zealand dollars ($543) after he dumped a bloodied pig’s head outside Christchurch’s Al Noor mosque, one of the two mosques that Tarrant targeted. The dumping of a pig is considered especially offensive to Muslims, as pork is considered haram or forbidden under Islamic law.

Arps’ lawyer, Anselm Williams, argued for leniency, saying that his client was facing a tougher sentence on the grounds of his extremist beliefs. “It’s my submission that this court needs to be very careful to sentence Mr. Arps based on what it is that he has actually done, and what he accepts he has done, not on the basis of the views that he holds,” Williams said.

Tarrant faces 92 separate charges in relation to the shootings at Al Noor mosque and the Linwood Islamic Centre back in March, in what was the deadliest mass shooting in New Zealand in modern times. This week, he pleaded not guilty to all charges and will face trial in May next year.
