Maybe the water is symbolic of a choice to be saved/turn on their handlers.

Does anyone know if any of these leaders have picked up the water?

Does the removal of the water signify the choice is now gone?

Merkel didn't look too good and if i were in her position and knew the gravity of the crimes i commited and that my only way out has now expired….
