they had to take all the "Pope is Antichrist" stuff out of the margins, take out all the "hold your government accountable" verses out, take out anything critical of scribes or pharisees or attorneys, etc.
King James was an attorney, and even though he was King,he was in debt to the City of London. He revised the Geneva Bible into the King James version to suit his masters. They used the Catholic Latin-to-English version of the New Testament and not the Tyndale translations done for the Geneva.
