This is an absolutely wonderful psalm to memorize. The protection and victory available to those who know God through His Son, Jesus are more real that what we see with our mere fleshly eyes. I have experienced this divine protection in amazing ways.
Glad you posted this. I have prayed, many times, for God to reveal to me what He wanted me to know and/or what I needed to know. I still pray this way. Basic information about how the systems of government and industry REALLY work is probably informative. Deeply scarring details and names of people very far removed from me don't seem to be things I need or want to know. Does anyone else think that Chelsea Manning was a victim as well as criminal? What did Chelsea learn, how did it affect the soldier? I personally don't want too much detail about what certain public figures may have done. I don't need to see highly distressing video of events of the magnitude that would cause permanent distress of the type that Q said keeps people up at night. How many people need to be destroyed by knowledge "too great for them"?
I believe in the healing power of God's love, but I don't invite unnecessary trauma to my mind or soul.
I will pray for God to bless and restore those who discovered the horrendous evidence of evil that is now being addressed and those who were unwilling victims of it.
