Instantaneous Petrification is a great illustration of the forces we're talking about. With enough electric current flow, Sand vitrifies and turns to glass in a lightening strike. A high voltage wire fell on a stump, and it was partially Petrified (Transformation of biological cells into silicate minerals (stone)). Crabs entirely encased in stone, and preserved. The Petrified forest in Arizona would have required immense voltage to achieve the mineralization of wood seen there.
The Electric forces that make these relatively common phenomena possible are Scaleable. What applies at the atomic level scales up to the Inter-planetary level and beyond.
I think Andy Hall has focused on wind specifically because it is required to describe the shockwave physics that explain the Richtmeyer-Meshkov structures found on mountainsides around the world. It's the combination of High voltage, High Vitrifying temperatures, and Super-sonic wind that make these electric geology formations possible. Imaging blowing molten stone around with a super-sonic hairdryer.
(Devil's tower (pictured) and other Hexagonal columnar basalt formations are related to electric geology, but are Not ancient giant petrified trees)
