Erdogan: Former Egyptian President Morsi Was 'Killed', 'Authorities Did Not Intervene to Save Him

The Egyptian state broadcaster previously reported, citing its medical sources that the ex-President Mohamed Morsi died of a heart attack during a trial session in an espionage case in Cairo on Monday.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday stated that former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi was 'killed.' The Turkish leader also slammed Egyptian officials for not taking any measures to save the ex-president.

"Morsi was struggling on the floor in the courtroom for 20 minutes. Authorities unfortunately did not intervene to save him," Erdogan said. "Morsi was killed, he did not die of natural causes."

Morsi, who was removed from power in 2013 amid a wave of popular discontent caused by the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood* movement, reportedly suffered a heart attack on Monday. He died aged 67 during a court hearing on an espionage case in Cairo.

Messiah…. Try and keep it in perspective

Matthew 1:21

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”

In Abrahamic religions, a messiah or messias (Hebrew: מָשִׁיחַ‎, romanized: māšîaḥ; Greek: μεσσίας, romanized: messías, Arabic: ‎, romanized: masîḥ) is a saviour or liberator of a group of people. The concepts of moshiach, messianism, and of a Messianic Age originated in Judaism,[1][2] and in the Hebrew Bible; a moshiach (messiah) is a king or High Priest traditionally anointed with holy anointing oil.[3] Messiahs were not exclusively Jewish: the Book of Isaiah refers to Cyrus the Great, king of the Achaemenid Empire, as a messiah[4] for his decree to rebuild the Jerusalem Temple.

The Hebrew word meaning the same thing is Mashiach, or as we know it—Messiah. So Christ is really more a title than it is a name, although the Bible uses it both ways. For example, the Bible often refers to Jesus by name as “Jesus Christ,” just as we do in modern usage (see Matthew 1:1, 18; Mark 1:1; John 1:17; 17:3; Acts 3:6; Romans 3:24, etc.).

Democrat Darling AOC’s Polling Numbers at Home are in the Sewer

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is polling awfully in the New York district she was elected to represent and it’s not difficult to understand why.

Every time she is in the news, it’s because she’s talking about some national issue. She doesn’t seem interested at all in doing the job she was elected to do. She thinks she is some sort of national figure and the media’s adoration of her has only made it worse.

Is there any wonder why her constituents feel ignored?

It found that she has a low 21% favorability rating, that just 11% believe she has their best interests in mind, and that only 13% would vote to reelect her.

After remote-code test, DHS sounds the alarm on BlueKeep

he Department of Homeland Security has added its voice to a chorus of government and corporate cybersecurity professionals urging users to patch their systems for BlueKeep, a critical vulnerability recently reported in old Microsoft Windows operating systems.

DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said Monday said it had used the BlueKeep vulnerability to execute remote code on a test machine operating Windows 2000. The agency released an advisory reiterating that, like the famed WannaCry ransomware, BlueKeep is “wormable,” in that malware exploiting the vulnerability could spread to other systems.

The BlueKeep vulnerability, for which Microsoft published an advisory on May 14, could allow a hacker to abuse the popular Remote Desktop Protocol, which grants remote access to computers for administrative purposes, to delete data or install new programs on a system. When it was disclosed, security experts immediately warned of BlueKeep’s severity, and as of last week, close to 1 million internet-exposed machines were still vulnerable to the flaw, according to researchers at cybersecurity company BitSight.

Trump’s Pentagon pick brings military experience, political savvy to new job

Mark Esper has been an Army officer, congressional staffer and corporate lobbyist. Now the Army secretary is the third person President Donald Trump has tapped to lead the Pentagon.

In two tweets Tuesday afternoon, Trump announced that acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan was out after six months on the job and Esper was promoted to the post, at least temporarily.

A former Raytheon lobbyist who was confirmed to the Army position on an 89-6 vote in November 2017, Esper brings both military experience and political savvy to the post. But he also carries the baggage of his extensive experience working inside the Beltway, with one watchdog group immediately raising concerns about his defense industry ties.

In conversation, Esper comes across as informed, confident and comfortable with the challenges that come with sitting at an important desk. Shanahan, who worked hard to strip the “acting” from his title, seemed to struggle at times to communicate effectively, both with Congress and the media.

Esper graduated from West Point in 1986 and served as an infantry officer in the 1991 Gulf War with the 101st Airborne Division. He later worked as chief of staff at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank that has been particularly influential in Trump’s staffing decisions. He also served as legislative director for then-Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., who went on to become defense secretary during the Obama administration.
