Future proves past
Q has repeatedly posted nuggets of information which, by their nature, show his authenticity by stating information that later facts and events prove to be true – events that occur within months of their predictions. As we know, a single instance would not, by itself, be proof of anything. But multiple proofs become, by statistical analysis alone, impossible to dismiss as coincidence. If it isn’t a coincidence, it must be true.
So, frens of other religions and “atheists”, applying the same standard of proof, I challenge you (kindly, with no malice intended) to refute that the Old Testament (Jewish writings) made at least 400 years before the birth of Jesus, predicted His coming. Among these prophecies, the most specific include (stating in this format the prediction - Old Testament cite - New Testament or other historical reference as proof):
He would be born after Jerusalem was rebuilt - Daniel 9:25 - Pliny the Elder
He would be born before Jerusalem was destroyed - Daniel 9:26 -Josephus
He would be born in the town of Bethlehem - Micah 5:2 - Matthew 2:1-5
He would journey to, and come back from, Egypt - Hosea 11:1 -Matthew 2:13–15
He would be known for his ministry in Galilee - Isaiah 9:1, 2 - Matthew 4:12-17; Luke 2:28-32
He would travel to Jerusalem and enter on a donkey - Zechariah 9:9; Matthew 21:6-9
He would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver, later used to buy a potter’s field - Zechariah 10:10-13 - Matthew 26:15
He would be beaten and spat upon - Isaiah 50:6 - Matthew 26:67
Others would gamble for his clothes, including casting lots - Psalm 22:18 - Matthew 27:35; John 19:23
His hands and feet would be pierced - Psalm 22:16 - John 19:37, 20:27
He would be killed - Psalm 22:15; Isaiah 53:8, 9 - Matthew 27:45-56; John 19:34
None of His bones would be broken (this is inconsistent with Roman practice of breaking the legs of the crucified to hasten death after unconsciousness) - Psalm 34:20 - John 19: 31-33
He would be buried in a wealthy man's tomb - Isaiah 53:9 - Matthew 27:57-60
His exact words spoken while he was suffering and dying, are the very beginning of the Psalm that precedes the most famous Psalm of all (Psalm 23) - Psalm 22:1 - Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34
These are 14 prophecies relating to specific facts in the life of Jesus which were made at least 400 (sometimes more than 1,000) years before Christ was born. Future proves the past, indeed. It is important to remember that these specific prophecies are the most striking – but more cryptic prophecies (requiring very specific knowledge of specific languages used, ancient historical customs and geography, as well as ancient poetic interpretation) number more than 300.
