Maybe I am late to this, but…

I think there is a deeper meaning of all these rainbows that are being associated with Pride month. If we follow the Abrahamic symbolism of the rainbow then what we may actually be witnessing is a month signaling a new covenant with God that this type of evil that has been perpetrated will never be allowed to happen again. Even POTUS is saying “we can never allow this to happen again”. It also recontextualizes the NSA lighting up in “Pride colors” as being part of this covenant. Even Taylor Swift’s new videos seem to share that spirit - notice how ME! is in all caps?!

I’m not ignoring the possibly sinister aspect of this, but I have a lack of knowledge regarding that part of meaning.
