thats not plasma… plasma is essentially an ionized gas… the fission fusion cycles is whats generating the energy and the plasma is just a by product… between the radiation and the thermal expansion of the plasma.. thats what causes the damage… but plasma aint really shit… the only thing its good for is etching and plating

furthermore… if you contain the plasma then you are also containing the supposed weapon as well … and this is also why fusion reactors tend to only be a theory… because of the amount of energy in the magnetic field that is required to contain the fusion exceeds the amount produce … could be in part due to poor efficiency in the energy conversion .. or it simply does not generate enough .. im not sure which… but that is why we do not have fusion reactors producing our energy
