Since the fall of the Shah, Iran has been a CIA run state, operated for the purpose of "playing" antagonist against the USA and Israel. The idea has always been to be able to justify higher defense spending and a military presence in the middle east.

This most recent provocation is a warning shot by the deep state that they are ready and willing to plunge the world in to chaos. Obviously Iran can not win a war against the US, but that is not the point. The deep state couldn't care less about the people of Iran, and will happily plunge Iran back in to the stone age if it accomplishes their goals.

Do not hate the average Iranian, they are as much a pawn in this game as anyone else.
