Pressed further on the drone shootdown, @POTUS said it might have been a mistake by an Iranian general. "I find it hard to believe it was intentional," he told reporters in Oval Office photo op with PM Trudeau.

The 7 GOP senators who voted to block all or part of Trump's Saudi arms sale
Seven Republican senators joined with all Democrats to block President Trump’s arms deal with Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
The sale, estimated to be worth more than $8 billion, would provide weapons to Saudi Arabia, as well as the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
Trump used an emergency provision of the Arms Export Control Act to skip Congress’s 30-day review process for the 22 sales, which includes precision-guided bombs, Patriot missiles, mortar rounds, drones, fighter jet parts and other military support.
The move sparked widespread backlash on Capitol Hill, where the U.S.-Saudi relationship has soured amid Yemen’s civil war and the death of Washington Post contributor Jamal Khashoggi.
The Senate was expected to be able to block the sale, but are more than a dozen votes short of the two-thirds needed to override a veto. Democrats only needed four Republicans to block Trump's arms sale.
Five Republicans voted with Democrats to block all of Trump's 22 arms sales, while Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) voted to block two sales but voted for the additional 20 arms sales. Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) voted to block two of the sales, and then missed the third vote.
Here are the seven that voted to block all or part of it:
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine)
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)
Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah)
Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kansas)
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska)
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.)
Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.)
