Been looking about the fabled air strike then pullout, everything seems to go back to the NYT, with most major MSM sources still missing in action (e.g., not a word in Wapo and there's no paywall, subscriber here). If it's true, we'll find out within the next few hours. If not, good that we didn't go with it, coz we can't print retractions.

Yeah, if it's true, it probably cost someone a lot, one way or the other.

The problem with leaks is (a) they may not be real leaks, (b) they may be partly true and partly false and (c) they may be intentionally used to achieve political ends not to the benefit of the country or admin (and in the case of NYT, this is pretty likely). Too many wars have been started by rumor mongering ("Remember the Maine").

I've been told that some phones (Apples?) save in JPEG by default; Google Chrome seems to, too. Easier to change on a computer. Being aware of the problems means avoiding the easy cases; for hard cases, might be good to just provide detailed descriptions instead of pics. Anons can add here on the board.
