On Thursday, June 20th, 2019, several search warrants were obtained for locations in Bremerton, Silverdale, and Poulsbo.

Shortly after noon, investigators arrived at each of the locations to serve search warrants, rescue human trafficking victims, and make arrests of persons who have violated the law.

KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — An investigation that took 18 months, revealed to the Kitsap Sheriff's Office a large-scale human trafficking operation out of four "illegal massage parlors."

After several surveillance operations, the West Sound Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Sheriff's office discovered a "significant military/U.S. Navy nexus," according to a Facebook post from the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.

After the nexus was discovered, the investigators contacted the Naval Criminal Investigative Service to aid in the investigation.

Investigators received tips that active duty Navy and department of defense contractors were among the clientele, said WestNET Commander KCSO Lieutenant Jon VanGesen.
