Cancer patients welcome breakthrough ‘living drug’ that reprograms immune systems to fight disease

In a groundbreaking treatment, cancer patients’ immune systems are being genetically reprogrammed to fight their terminal cancer for them, with promising results.

In the UK, a number of National Health Service (NHS) patients with lymphoma at King’s College Hospital have been given CAR-T, a “living drug” that is unique to each patient as it contains some of their own cells.

“It is a very exciting new development and it gives new hope to a lot of our patients,” Victoria Potter, haematologist at King’s College Hospital told the BBC. “It’s amazing to be able to see these people, who you may have not been able to give any hope to, actually achieving remission.”

Parts of a patient’s immune system, the white blood cells, are taken and frozen in nitrogen before being sent to laboratories in the US where they are genetically reprogrammed to find and destroy cancer, instead of killing viruses and bacteria like they normally would. The cells then become chimeric antigen receptor T-cells, or CAR-T and are put back into the patient’s bloodstream, where they grow and get to work battling cancer.

Regime oil minister: We cannot sell oil under Iran name

Iran, June 21, 2019 - Addressing a group of Iranian regime officials at the Industrial Administration Organization, Bijan Zangeneh, the minister of oil in Hassan Rouhani’s cabinet, complained about the difficult situation that has cornered the mullahs.

“The current situation is more difficult than the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s. We could sell our oil at that time, but today we are unable to even sell one barrel of oil under our own name. And it doesn’t end here. In regards to transferring funds, the situation is the same and we are looking at similar difficulties,” Zangeneh said.

“Today, not only are we facing extreme difficulties regarding the selling of our own oil, we cannot even receive any money from whatever oil we might be able to export. Whereas during the Iran-Iraq war, we didn’t have any problem in exporting our oil or importing goods, even including oil derivatives,” he added

National Cancer Act of 1971

In 1970, the American people made clear their desire for a cure for the second-leading cause of death in the United States. President Nixon responded during his January 1971 State of the Union address: "I will also ask for an appropriation of an extra $100 million to launch an intensive campaign to find a cure for cancer, and I will ask later for whatever additional funds can effectively be used. The time has come in America when the same kind of concentrated effort that split the atom and took man to the moon should be turned toward conquering this dread disease. Let us make a total national commitment to achieve this goal."

As part of this national effort, in October 1971, the Army's Fort Detrick, Maryland, biological warfare facility was converted to a cancer research center, eventually becoming the Frederick Cancer Research and Development Center, an internationally recognized center for cancer and AIDS research.

On December 23, 1971, President Nixon followed through on his promise as he signed the National Cancer Act into law, declaring, "I hope in the years ahead we will look back on this action today as the most significant action taken during my Administration."1

Unintended Holistic Doctor Death Series: Over 90 Dead

Note from Erin: I know many of you are here because Nipsey Hussle, may he rest in peace, was gunned down in broad daylight in Los Angeles at the age of 33. He was making a documentary, which he talked about a lot, about Dr. Sebi who is on our list. He also talked about our holistic doctor death series publicly. Months ago, I signed a contract with Entertainment One in Los Angeles to do a documentary series as well, on the doctors and it would feature Dr. Sebi. I vow that no matter what, this documentary will be made.

Our goal in providing this list is not to instill fear, but rather encourage people to speak up and be brave, in light of losing our heroes, who were all extraordinary people.

Our hearts go out to their family and friends.

June 19, 2015, Father’s Day

On Father’s Day, one year ago, the beloved Jeffrey Bradstreet was found dead in a river with a gunshot wound to his chest.

I was honored to do the first interview with the Boston eet family, and commend them for their bravery as they search for answers. They’ve hired private investigators and “want to get to the bottom of this”. Their investigators have concluded that Jeffrey Bradstreet didn’t commit suicide. He was murdered—without a doubt.

Other families are coming forward and have hired their own investigators, including Dr. Marshall’s wife, who’s an MD. Her investigator believes that her husband was murdered in a “set up” staged by someone in law enforcement or with military training (story linked in the timeline below).

More families are hiring investigators because they’re not buying the “official” accounts given by local law enforcement. A most prominent doctor has told me that their local law enforcement is considering the death and is talking with the FBI. That’s a start.

Since so many of these doctors (and the few researchers I included in this unintended series) were fathers, I wanted to honor them today, on Father’s Day. I finally agreed to be a producer on a film being made on the subject, but we still have a long way to go. You can watch the trailer here.

The more we share this tragedy with others, the better chance we have of making progress. The fact that any law enforcement is even talking to the FBI is encouraging. I appreciate the few media organizations who’ve had the guts to share these stories: the New York Times, (who wrote me requesting info), The Independent UK, and network affiliates (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) around the US. Most mainstream sites barely cover one doctor’s death, let alone the dozens we’ve had die this year, if we include mysterious accidents, murders, alleged suicides or unexplained sudden deaths.

Iran denies reports Trump sent warning about imminent attack in retaliation for downed US drone

Iran's top national security official has denied a Reuters report claiming that Tehran had received a low-key message via Oman from the US warning of an imminent attack on the Islamic Republic.

"The US didn’t send any message,” Keyvan Khosravi, spokesman for the National Security Council, told Iranian television.

This issue is not in any way correct.

The comment dismissed a previous report by Reuters, which cited unnamed Iranian officials as saying that Donald Trump had warned Tehran of a military strike and also gave a time to respond. The message was reportedly delivered via Oman and followed the downing of a US spy UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) earlier in the week.

Georgian Parliament Speaker Resigns Amid Protests - Ruling Party

TBILISI (Sputnik) - The speaker of the Georgian parliament, Irakli Kobakhidze, has resigned amid protests in the country's capital, the secretary general of the country's ruling Georgian Dream party, Kakha Kaladze, said on Friday.

"This decision has been made to fulfill his responsibility toward the [Georgian] people," Kaladze said at a briefing.

Protests swept Tbilisi on Thursday, with the demonstrators opposing the participation of Russian delegates in the session. At first, Georgian opposition lawmakers left the session as IAO President and Russian lawmaker Sergey Gavrilov opened the meeting in the seat of head of the parliament. The session was interrupted, then the building was assaulted by radicals.

The opposition subsequently joined the demonstrators, calling for the resignation of the government and the parliament speaker. The protests were subsequently dispersed but demonstrators reportedly broke into the office of the ruling Georgian Dream party and ransacked it.

Iran Sees US Drone Incident as Attempt to Force Tehran to Start Talks - Defense Minister

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Iran's recent downing of a US drone as well as the United States' reinforced military presence in the region are an attempt by the latter to pressure the Middle Eastern nation into starting negotiations, Iranian Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Amir Hatami said on Thursday.

"The United States, through its provocative actions, including sending its reconnaissance drone to Iran, as well as troops and military equipment to the region, continues its psychological warfare and tries to exert maximum possible pressure on Iran through the media as part of the 'pressure-negotiations' strategy," the minister told the Iranian Labour News Agency.

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Wednesday that it had downed a US Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk surveillance drone flying over the coastal Hormozgan province because it had violated the country's airspace. The US Central Command has, in turn, said that its naval drone was shot down while operating over international waters of the Strait of Hormuz.

Does Bill Clinton Run Murder Inc.?

Last week on TheToday Show, Linda Tripp declared that she had received “threats to my life, threats to the lives of my children” from the president (via Monica Lewinsky). Similarly, Dick Morris referred last month in the Washington Post to “the list of the 25 people who have died in mysterious circumstances in connection with [the Ken Starr] investigation.” Does the president’s scandal-management team include a hit squad? Who allegedly has been bumped off? Are any of the charges true?

Lists of supposed Clinton victims have circulated on the Internet web for the past few years. (Click here to see one list.) The lists may have originated with The Clinton Chronicles, a video produced in 1993 and since hawked by conservatives such as Pat Robertson, Rush Limbaugh, and Jerry Falwell. The Chronicles explain that as governor of Arkansas, Bill Clinton supervised a drug-smuggling and money-laundering enterprise that stretched from Central America to the Reagan-administration’s CIA to west Arkansas. The video alleges that eight people were killed because they knew too much about the operation.
