Good and evil are based on intent, not going for a jog around the block.
If you drink and drive then your intent is well within the boundaries of harming others. You put your life above others. Numbing your mind was more important to you.
Do you think that there isn't truth in eastern religions? Do you think that there aren't lies in western religions? And vice versa. The commonalities that underlay all religions, stories, tales, and myths are what is important.
Your word is so righteous? That you've laid truths onto me, it's my fault when I burn in hell? Clearly the hallmark of a great teacher. Is it not using the Lord's name in vain to claim damnation of others because your own thoughts are so much more virtuous?
