The scene outside Austin’s office Wednesday was described by the Trib as “a sort of spectacle” with some residents celebrating the raid and others stopping to “gawk at the sight of a neighborhood titan getting stung by federal heat.”
If Austin gets indicted, “she will join a relatively short list of female aldermen who ran afoul of the law,” according to the Sun-Times.
