RE: What are shovels used for?

This pool may have been designed to be drained with a submersible pump?

Significance? Pump discharge can be controlled (and discarded) better than a general drain to septic field, yes?

What are shovels used for?

No drains in photos.

Drains in some of the paintings.

Inference: painter may may have memories of the pool and assumed there were drains when re-creating the scenes?

Or re-created from accounts given by someone else?

Assume that the drains are really not part of the actual pool. Reconcile. Everything has meaning.

TY Anon.

That further supports the inference that the creator of the painted images was not present at the empty pool. Painted drains in some images.

May have been there otherwise, such as when the pool was full.

Might the painted rains be a sort of fillin-in details, the way liars over-do details?

Q: Compare pool of V w/ painting of kids in pool (red shoes).

Q: Review 2015/2016 pics (inside only).

Q: What do you notice?

What is specific to 2015/2016 and that pool? Where the paintings made in that period of time? Where drains installed subsequent to that time?

Maybe the drains are not something, but … might be a crumb re the origin of the images (and of the pool, too). And that may be relevant as pools this old prolly are updated.

IDK if it is a possible setting for that ritual. Where is it located in the house? With all the artificial lighting, below grade? Back of house or an annex of the house?
