Yeah, I'm gonna say you really don't know what your talking about. Sounds awfully idealistic. And a little bit preachy. Keep studying, though. . .
You might want to look into more than just one book if you're planning to become an expert on these subjects. How you gonna tell me Christ came and lived a "perfect life" when most of his time here is unaccounted for in what you are talking as "Divine" texts.
Look. You even contradicted yourself. You say EVERYONE is a sinner, then basically refer me back to a note someone passed back in the day. What. Was that guy perfect? The entire religion was formed AFTER Jesus got killed. So, none of you got the information straight from the source. The more time that has passed between then and now, the more room for corruption. And there was PLENTY of corruption in the Roman Catholic Church. Which is why you have old pricks molesting alter boys "in the name of. . .".
It's idealistic to think that they'll be punished in the next life. But you don't know that. Neither do I. But if the priests are supposed to be the "experts", and many of them did see other texts that you were not allowed to see, something tells me that they are not worried for what they did. Perhaps it's because they do not fear what may or may not happen to them in the "afterlife". Or it's also possible that they truly believe that Jesus will forgive them. So, they can do whatever they want to people, just say "Jesus" and you'll throw ten bucks in the basket to feel good about yourself. . .
Don't start with me. I'm sick of people who don't know what they are talking about, try to preach on these matters because "so-and-so said". Do you even know who wrote the original scriptures? Who translated? How many times? What was omitted? What was inserted? I doubt it…
I've read the Bible front to back. And I've looked into many other religions and cultures, as well. You've been lied to quite a bit. Get used to it. It's not just in religion. It's a common theme just about everywhere. Please. Do your homework on these matters before you come around here preaching.
