>Would love to see how many here could actually survive on 30k a year.

Been there, done that, on less.

Can be done, cut every corner, no extras.

An unexpected care repair had to be put on credit card and paid off monthly.

I remember getting excited when I found $5 I had forgotten was in my bicycle bag, used it for groceries.

Couldn't get any foodstamps or anything bc welfare people in Chicago wouldn't help people who weren't single moms.

Miss a payment and they can confiscate everything. The property and everything on it.

Where I live, Chicago suburb, 1/2 of $6000 annual property tax goes to the public schools to squander. Always bellyaching that they need more money and pay their superintendents $600,000 a year, while the people who live in the neighborhood don't even earn 1/10th of that annually.

Illinois was that last state to allow concealed carry and they were forced into it bc the Illinois laws conflicted with 2nd ammendment laws.

What about all of these sanctuary cities?

Aren't they breaking federal laws?

They are aiding and abetting criminals!

Little guys have no rights.

The village I live in killed a tree in our easement, then sent us nasty grams from the village lawyer telling us that we had to pay someone to remove the dead tree from the easement.

It was a huge 100 year old cottonwood and it cost us $2000 to have it removed. Some estimates were 3x that amount.

Can't fight city hall. Filled with a bunch of self important idjuts.

I'm still only 5 minutes into the first vid that you posted.

I have a brother-in-law who is a retired deputy chief where I live. It was a political position and he reported to the Mayor. He had to go to all of the city hall meetings. He said that most of the village ordinances where we live are actually illegal but nobody challenges them bc there are no lawyers who will waste their time, whereas the village has its own attorneys on retainer paid for by, you guessed it, our tax $$$s.

We are slaves.

If we want to break the chains, we have to pay the price. I fought my damned village for 2 years over a tree that they killed when they widened a ditch in the easement. Finally, I gave up and just paid to have it removed.

I will watch and try to learn.

Believe me, I want to gather some ammunition.

I am tired of these bastards and their bogus laws.

My belief is that it is all part of a scheme to keep poor people poor. And to keep the middle class from creeping upwards. Keep them treading water financially.

Sorry I can't help.

I have no baking skills, actually quite shocking that I found my way here.

I appreciate all bakers of any skill level.

Hang in there.

You're doing fine by me.

I'm just glad there's a bread!

The busybodies and the nit pickers are in control.

They love bossing people around and giving them a hard time.

We have an ordinance officer who drives around in her van harassing residents.

It's ridiculous bullshit!

My neighbor actually yelled at her and told her to get off of his property.

Sad how workers are treated, and people wonder why Unions started, but those have become infiltrated by greed and corruption too.

I used to work at a high school cafeteria and we threw out more food than we served. And we weren't allowed to take any food home either. It had to go in the garbage.

This bread started first

Dif baker started other bread when this bread was still going.

Crazy

Now we have two breads going at once.

But this one has only about another 100 posts to fill it.

I have a feeling BO will not be doing a happy dance.

This bread started in graveyard and there was about a 10 minute gap where there was no bread at all before this one.

A new baker stepped up to the plate and we were lopping along

A new bread was started when this bread only had around 300 posts

Two breads were going, both pretty slowly.

But now it's morning in the US and people are going to the catalog and just going on to the other bread without realizing there are two breads.

I've been up all night and should be in bed right now but I'm curious how this two bread thing will end.
