With modern and contemporary art, it's one of five things. One, the art is weaponized by the elite to push their agenda of cultural marxism and nihilism. Two, the art is apart of a money laundering or tax evasion scheme. Three, the art is apart of a pump and dump scheme to increase value of one's collection. Four, the buyer is genuinely dumb enough to fall for the "art is subjective" narrative. Or five, the art is full of degenerate elitist symbolism and meaning. I would say this art is a combination of cultural marxism and elitist symbolism.
