Two of the most influential business sagas in the Caribbean are behind the Blue Mall in Punta Cana

Behind the largest shopping mall in the Caribbean, there are two business sagas with decades of history. Comandan surnames made for high flights. Entrepreneurs who did not refuse the risk and on the way convinced figures such as magnate and investor George Soros and the White House mediator, Theodore Woodrow Kheel . They are the Velutini of Venezuela and the Rainieri of the Dominican Republic.

That adventure initiated the process of internationalization of the company. The Velutini Group manages the Real Estate Securities Fund of Caracas, a corporation with 25 years in the market, highlighted in Venezuela for building shopping centers and office plants. The company that in 1996 formed with the real estate group IRSA (Inversiones y Representaciones SA) of Argentina , and the billionaire Hungarian investor George Soros , is one of its most outstanding operations.
