3 dead in plane crash on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - 3 people killed when a small plane crashed on land near a bay on the Kenai Peninsula.
Troopers spokesman Ken Marsh says the crash occurred Friday night in Little Johnstone Bay, about 30 miles southeast of the community of Seward.
Troopers identified the pilot as 63-year-old Kem Sibbitt of Fairbanks. The identities of the two passengers were not immediately released. Marsh didn't know the purpose of the flight in the Helio Courier aircraft, but he said it was a private plane.

Pilot Confirmed Dead in Missing Plane Wreck near Alliance
Camp Ashland NE. The local pilot who first spotted the wreckage was Kem Sibbitt. He was flying as a good neighbor. His airplane is based at Grant County airport. The Sherdian County Attorney says they have not yet confirmed the pilot to be Ben Andrick of Alliance.

Alaska small plane crash kills 2 a week after a deadly mid-air collision involving the same carrier
Two people died Monday afternoon when the plane they were in crashed into Metlakatla Harbor, Alaska, a week after another deadly crash nearby involving the same operator. Taquan Air.
May 13, 2019, a midair collision of sightseeing planes near Ketchikan left six people dead. The aircraft in that incident were operated by Taquan Air and Mountain Air Service.
Johnson couldn't immediately recall any similar precedents for two fatal Alaska crashes involving the same carrier.
