It may take a while. Most likely this is the result of the largest RICO takedown in history. Interestingly, the RICO in question would also be an act of war, which means military tribunals are also in play for war criminals – even for civilian breaches of the law. (This has been covered extensively too.)
So the SC just ruled that states and the federal government can both charge a person for the same crime if it is illegal in the state and illegal under federal law - it is not considered double jeopardy. But it is also legal to charge them in a military tribunal.
So yes…there may be an ENORMOUS market for new lawyers and judges. It also may take many years to clear the backlog.
