Is it really safe to omit the plate gaskets on a valve body?
I mean automatic transmission control system, sorry. A builder told me I should leave the plate gaskets off on the rebuild for slightly firmer shifts. That sounds nice, but I don't want any side effects. Also I'm confused how I should clean the thing. It has to be compressed air? I can't even use a plastic brush?
