GAY PRIDE OVERLOAD AT MY FORTUNE 500 EMPLOYER!!
I work for a Fortune 500 Company (in the top 75).
Every year they sponsors gay pride month, which to be honest I have never had a problem with as I am not a Homophobe!
This year however, it has literally gone freaking insane!!! In the entrance to the building they have draped huge vinyl strips/banners on the ceiling in various gay pride colors, making it kind of a tunnel that you have to walk under to get to the elevators to your office. In addition they have placed 20+ huge posters on the wall and on display stands featuring portraits of LGBTQ employees with power statement like "I feel empowered", etc..
Am I wrong for feeling a smidgen of sexual harassment? I don't dare say anything there, but it is literally being shoved down our throats in such magnitude which I have never seen in over a decade with this company. Tomorrow they will be having a gay pride event in the atrium with booths, food and free trinkets.
Maybe I should just give in and go to the booths and ask where I sign up to become gay. KEK.
