With Their Demand for War, Neocons and Establishment Conservatives Will Destroy Conservatism

During the presidency of George W. Bush, conservatism as a political ideology became equated with military adventurism. This was mostly due to the Iraq War – a largely unnecessary war, that was started by neoconservatives and establishment types who thought they could "export" democracy and human rights. The war in Iraq was so unpopular that the Republican nominee in 2008 (the admittedly weak Senator John McCain) had little to no chance of winning. Conservatism as a brand was tarnished, it seems, beyond recovery.

In the years since then, however, many reasonable right-of-center voters and commentators have done some serious soul searching, and they have concluded that the likes of Rand Paul and President Trump were right when they criticized the Iraq War and similar military adventures in the Middle East.

Sadly, however, establishment conservatives and neoconservatives continue to stick to their proverbial guns. Even after the Bush years and the necessary years of introspection by common sense conservatives, these individuals are merely waiting for a chance to start a new war. Their preferred target is, this time, Iran — a country run by an admittedly despotic, oppressive and aggressive regime.

Now that Iran has shot down an American military drone, they believe they finally have their reason to go to war. National Security Adviser John Bolton, Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Tom Cotton, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and CIA director Gina Haspel are reportedly all calling on Trump to pull the trigger. Senator Graham tweeted Thursday, for example, that “the only thing Iran and every other thuggish regime understands is Strength and Pain.”

So far President Trump has resisted this demand for war. He has adopted a foreign policy in which military strikes are a last rather than a first resort. We should be glad about that: not only does that serve America’s interests best, but it’s also best for the world as a whole, and for conservatism.

Because, if we go back to the conservatism of the Bush years – a supposedly "compassionate conservatism" mixed with large-scale military adventures that cost thousands of lives, trillions of dollars, and that wreak havoc and chaos – conservatism as a political philosophy is doomed. If Bolton, Graham and their ilk have their way, conservatism and "warmongering" will be interchangeable terms which will result in conservatives losing elections on a nightmarish scale.

For President Trump, then, this controversy with Iran could very well be the defining moment of his presidency. If he continues to listen to his own instincts, he will not only prevent a potentially disastrous war from occurring, but he will also save conservatism.

Of course, this does not mean that military action is always off the table. There are situations in which war is the only possible course of action to defend America’s interests – or those of its closest allies. Iran could very well go too far, for example, by actually killing Americans. In such a scenario, military strikes are a reasonable and correct response.

Feds concerned as Deutsche Bank plans to create ‘Bad Bank’, cut operations in US

The German bank, mired in money laundering allegations and years of struggling to generate sustainable profits, is planning a massive overhaul of its trading operations to switch focus from risky investment banking, as reports earlier suggested. It is expected to create a so-called bad bank for toxic assets and curtail its offices abroad.

Officials from the US Federal Reserve have quizzed a senior executive from Deutsche Bank over its reported restructuring plans, which include creating a “bad bank” for non-core assets and curtailing its units abroad, The Financial Times reports.

According to the outlet, citing several people, acquainted with the situation, officials sought to address concerns that the move would affect the German financial behemoth’s US operations. One of the insiders pointed to the uncertainty over Deutsche Bank’s entire US portfolio.

“There are lots of rumours swirling around about the scale of the cuts the bank is going to make. The Fed needs to know from Frankfurt how this is going to change its US operations”, a person with knowledge of the discussions between US officials and the bank’s management noted.

The Financial Times adds that the German lender with headquarters in Frankfurt declined to comment. According to the business daily, the US branch of the bank is now under restrictions by the country’s regulators because it failed its annual stress test in 2018 for reported “widespread and critical deficiencies” in planning.

At present, it is not allowed to make payments to its Frankfurt-based parent company without an okay from the US authorities, but could be released from this oversight if it passes this year’s test. It is expected to learn the monitoring results later this week.

Deutsche Bank’s CEO, Christian Sewing, could make an official announcement on the overhaul next month, as The Financial Times reported last week. The restructuring would include creating a bad bank, expected to house or sell non-core assets with a reported worth of €50 billion. This would mainly comprise long-term trades that were considered toxic and a burden for the bank.

Deutsche Bank is also expected to downsize its stocks and rates trading units outside continental Europe. The financial institution is also eyeing cutting its US equities business, as Reuters earlier reported. The cuts could entail job losses in the UK and the US, where the financial institution has almost 20,000 employees.

Germany’s largest lender has recently traded at record lows following years of failed attempts to rebound from the 2008 crisis and generate sustainable profits. Apart from this, Deutsche Bank has been fined repeatedly for failing to fight money laundering and has been embroiled in a scandal over its dealings with Trump’s real estate business.

The York Times reported that Deutsche Bank has lent over $2 billion to Trump over the last two decades, using his business as a launch pad to enter the US market.

AT&T sued over hidden fee that raises mobile prices above advertised rate…AT&T deceives customers by adding $2-per-month fee after they sign up, suit says

AT&T is facing a class-action complaint over its practice of charging a $1.99-per-month “Administrative Fee” that isn’t disclosed in its advertised rates.

As the complaint notes, “AT&T prominently advertises particular flat monthly rates for its post-paid wireless service plans.” But after customers sign up, the telco “covertly increases the actual price” by tacking on the “bogus so-called ‘Administrative Fee,'” according to the lawsuit filed Thursday in US District Court for the Northern District of California.

AT&T “hides” the fee in an easy-to-miss spot in customer bills, the complaint says, and it “misleadingly suggests that the Administrative Fee is akin to a tax or another standard government pass-through fee, when in fact it is simply a way for AT&T to advertise and promise lower rates than it actually charges.”

AT&T also provides an explanation “deep within” its website, but this is not an adequate disclosure, and the website description “serves to further AT&T’s deception and scheme by suggesting that the Administrative Fee is tied to certain costs associated with AT&T providing wireless telephone services (interconnect charges and cell site rental charges),” the complaint said.

If AT&T’s description of the fee is accurate, “it would merely reinforce that this undisclosed fee should be included in the advertised monthly price for the service because those are basic costs of providing wireless service itself, and thus a reasonable consumer would expect those costs to be included in the advertised price for the service,” the complaint said.

AT&T’s website acknowledges that the fee is not a tax or required by the government. But the complaint says that AT&T customer bills list the fee in the “Surcharges & Fees” section, which is otherwise used to list “government costs AT&T must pay (e.g. taxes).” This suggests to customers “that the Administrative Fee is akin to a tax or is another government-related pass-through charge, which it is not.”

Every decade for the past 100 years, American scientists have invented new ways to fuel the chronic SICK CARE industry

Do you really want to know why America is the land of cancer, heart attacks, diabetes, and dementia, when most other developed country’s statistics for those preventable diseases pale in comparison? You can save yourself and your family from these nightmare blood and cell “disorders” starting today, well that is, if you only know the hidden history, because somewhere in there lives the “medicine” of longevity, and it all comes from nature, not a laboratory.

Scroll back 100 years and you can finally fathom where the poisonous medicine “took root” in this country. Where evil business tycoons rolled their small fortunes into destroying natural medicine and installing “allopathic” laboratory concoctions that fuel sicknesses while alleviating the symptoms and signs all the while.

1910 – The Flexner Report

Oil tycoon JD Rockefeller all but controlled the pharmaceutical industry in the early 1900s, but he had to extinguish holistic medicine, naturopathy and homeopathy to ensure his monopoly. That’s why he had Andrew Flexner create the phony “Flexner Report” that declared there were too many physicians and medical schools. That’s when the American Medical Association (the most nefarious regulatory agency ever) became the only group authorized to grant medical school licenses. Hello chemical medicine, goodbye natural.

1920s – The End of Nutrition Education for U.S. Medical Doctors

AMA removes all nutritional education from medical colleges while instructing all M.D.s to only prescribe chemical-based, lab-made symptom-cover-up “pharma” medications. The AMA, led by Morris Fishbein, uses JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) as a propaganda hub for labeling all natural medicine as “Quackery” or “Alchemy.”

1930s – Research revealing lung cancer from cigarettes gets buried for 20 years

Scientists figure out that cigarette smoke causes lung cancer, but bury the findings while thousands of U.S. doctors endorse smoking cigarettes as healthy and “good for digestion” for two more decades, all while Americans die. All U.S. medical doctors were stuck working under the one insidious “roof” of the AMA. Push harmful chemicals as medicine and go “all in” for Big Tobacco to promote cancer-causing cigarettes, or lose your medical license. Period.

1940s – Hitler’s evil pharma plans put to work by U.S.A. pharma big-wigs, industrialists, and tycoons to slowly poison citizens for profit

As WWII ends, U.S. industrialists and pharmaceutical companies use Hitler’s gas chamber poisons for U.S. drinking water “fluoride,” food additives and “preservatives,” and chemical agriculture. It all started in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where feds dripped toxic fluoride into the municipal tap water sources. Fluoride causes cancer, brittle bones, and a lowered IQ.

This would help pharma’s money machine bankroll off dumbed-down, sick and brittle-boned adults within a few decades. Meanwhile, growth in synthetic pesticides skyrocketed with “broad spectrum” DDT (think Roundup now), chlordane and 2,4-D, all of which kill plants, livestock and humans.

Russia, US & Israel hold security talks as Middle East turns into ‘battlefield’ against Iran

Blaming Iran for all the problems of the Middle East is just bad policy, Moscow has said as the national security advisers from Russia, Israel and the US meet in Jerusalem to discuss escalating tensions in the region.

“Just like us, Iran is legitimately present on Syrian territory to help fight terrorists, invited by the legitimate Syrian government,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters in Moscow on Monday, after a meeting with his Egyptian colleague Sameh Shoukry. Much of their press conference was dedicated to another meeting, however, as Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev was in Jerusalem for talks with his Israeli counterpart Meir Ben-Shabbat and US national security advisor John Bolton.

Further meetings between Patrushev, Bolton and Ben-Shabbat are scheduled for Tuesday, and the three are supposed to produce a joint statement.

Bolton was dispatched to Israel while Secretary of State Mike Pompeo flew to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, after US President Donald Trump decided not to launch an attack on Iran last week. Pompeo’s officially published agenda includes discussions of “dangers posed by Iranian destabilizing activity.”

This focus on Iran to the exclusion of everything else was “counterproductive,” Lavrov said. "Israel and the Americans are above all concerned with Iran, not just when it comes to Syria but also this region in general, and maybe even in a much wider geographical area."

"We consider it very, very dangerous how the situation is developing in [the Persian Gulf] as well as in Syria,” the top Russian diplomat added.

There are attempts to turn the territory of Syria into a battlefield between Israel and Iran, between Sunnis and Shia. This is bad and only aggravates the crisis.

He did not name any particular country as the culprit, but the thrust of the remark was perfectly clear. Earlier in the day, Washington announced additional sanctions against Iran, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei personally.

Royal Marines investigated as UK top brass fear video of ‘Nazi initiation’ could leak online

An investigation is underway after a group of Royal Marines allegedly filmed themselves drawing a swastika on one of their fellow servicemen, causing military top brass to fear that the embarrassing footage could be leaked online.

The Nazi “initiation” ceremony was filmed aboard a Royal Navy vessel during multi-national training exercises intended to “strike fear” into Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Mail on Sunday reported.

The troops involved were part of the Future Commando Force (FCF) and have reportedly since been warned that they might be prevented from taking part in similar future missions thanks to the humiliating incident.

In a note to troops, a senior officer warned that anyone in possession of the video from the ‘Exercise Baltic Protector’ mission “is to delete it immediately” and said anyone found forwarding it or posting it on public forums will face disciplinary action.

“If it reaches social media we can kiss goodbye to any additional responsibilities as well as runs ashore[slang for social privileges],” the note said, according to the Mail.

The newspaper reported that the video also features a series of other “disgusting acts” taking place in the corridors and sleeping quarters of what is believed to be the HMS Albion.

One commando told the paper that the exercises were supposed to send Putin “a message” that the UK and its allies have the “amphibious capability to defend Baltic and Scandinavian states” — and as such, this “wasn’t a time to get drunk, daub swastikas on each other and do other unthinkable acts.”

It also appears that senior officials are more concerned with where the incident took place rather than the acts themselves. Military chiefs, the commando said, “might expect” something like this to happen occasionally back home, “but never on a ship sailing near Russian waters.”

A Ministry of Defence spokesperson called the behavior “unacceptable” and said it was aware that the video was circulating.

The Royal Marines were leading a 12,000-strong force of troops from nine countries, with exercises involving staging mock battles and the recapture of chemical weapons stores off the coasts of Sweden and Denmark.

As We Face Armageddon the Western World Is Leaderless

According to news reports, the validity of which cannot be ascertained by the general public, a crazed US government came within 10 minutes of igniting a general conflagration in the Middle East, the consequences of which could have been catastrophic for all.

The moronic warmongers in high office—Bolton, Pompeo, and Pence—and their Israel Lobby masters are determined, and they have not abandoned their campaign for war with Iran. Of course, the liars say that Iran will just accept its punishment for defending its territory and there will be no war. But this is not what Iran says. I believe Iran.

Some of the tiny percentage of people in the Western World who are still capable of thought regret that Trump called off the insane plan. They think the consequences would have been the destruction of the Saudi and Israeli governments—two of the most evil in history—and the cut-off of oil to the US and Europe, with the resulting depression causing the overthrow of the Western warmonger governments. They believe that catastrophic American defeat is the only way peace can be restored to the world.

In other words, it is not clear whether Trump calling off the attack saved us or doomed us. The Israel Lobby and their neoconservative agents have not been taught a lesson. Trump has not fired Bolton and Pompeo for almost igniting a conflagration, and he has not dressed down his moronic vice president. So, it can all happen again.

And likely will. The lesson that Bolton and Israel have learned is that the fake news about an Iranian attack on a Japanese freighter, denied by the Japanese, was not sufficient to lock Trump into “saving face” by attacking Iran. So be prepared for a larger orchestrated provocation. Bolton and Israel know that the Western presstitutes will lie for them. Watch for a provocation that allows Trump no alternative to an attack.

Washington’s use of fake news and false flag attacks to launch military attacks goes back a long way. In the 21st century we have had a concentrated dose—Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction, Assad’s use of chemical weapons, Iranian nukes, Russian invasions, Maduro starving his own people, the endless lies about Gaddafi. Yes, I know there are more. I am writing an article, not an encyclopedia.

Washington has grown accustomed to attacking countries on false pretenses and getting away with it. Therefore, there is nothing to discourage the Israel Lobby and its Washington puppets from continuing to set-up Iran for an attack. Success breeds incaution. The attack on Iraq was stage-managed by a credible US Secretary of State before the UN. The attack on Libya was stage-managed by a UN resolution that a deceived Russia and China failed to block. In situations such as these, Washington arranged a green light for its war crimes. However, Washington has failed to stage-manage a green light for an attack on Iran. Moreover, Iran is a more powerful military force than Iraq and Libya, and the extent of the depth of Russian and Chinese support for Iran is unknown to Washington.

UNREAL! Pelosi on Illegal Aliens Who Have Broken Immigration Laws: “A Violation of Status is Not a Reason For Deportation” (VIDEO)

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Monday said that a violation of status is not a reason for deportation while discussing immigration.

And this woman is 3rd in line to be the President of the United States. Let that sink in.

Speaking in New York on Monday, Nancy Pelosi revealed what she spoke about during her Friday night phone call with President Trump before he called off the ICE raids.

Pelosi said that President Trump asserted that the illegal aliens targeted for the ICE raids were violating the law and had already been given deportation orders.

“A violation of status is not a reason for deportation — that is just not so,” Pelosi said waving her hand around like a lunatic.

Truthfully, the Democrats will never find fault with illegal aliens. Nothing will be bad enough to deport the invaders because the Democrats see them as a voting bloc.

WATCH: 'Most people think of rape as being sexy', Trump accuser tells a baffled Anderson Cooper

Colen

In a truly bizarre and uncomfortable moment of television, the woman accusing President Donald Trump of raping her in the 90s told CNN's Anderson Cooper that she believes most people think rape is "sexy."

The exchange began when Cooper asked advice columnist E. Jean Carroll whether she felt like she was a victim. She claims in her upcoming book that the president raped her in 1995 or 1996. Carroll's answer immediately takes the conversation to an uncomfortable place.

"I was not thrown on the ground and ravaged," Carroll said. "The word 'rape' carries so many sexual connotations. It just hurt."

"I think most people think of rape as—it is a violent assault," Cooper replied.

"I think most people think of rape as being sexy," Carroll pushed back. There are several seconds of silence, then Cooper tries to bail out to commercial as Carroll emphasizes her point. "They think of the fantasies."

The normally composed Cooper seems noticeably thrown off by where the conversation went, and he can be heard stammering as he tells Carroll they're going to take a break and resume the conversation afterward. It's not clear from the clip whether it was a planned break, or whether Cooper just felt the interview needed a reset.

"You're fascinating to talk to," Carroll said.

President Trump, in an interview with The Hill, again denied the rape allegation, saying "she's not my type."

Carroll responded to that line during the interview with Cooper.

"I love that!" Carroll exclaimed. "I am so glad I'm not his type. I'm so glad. This was 20 years ago. And I probably was, at that moment, in that five minutes, the most attractive woman in Bergdorf's. In that one bit of time."
