I believe the images are hosted on a different server. We have often had issues where image service is degraded while the HTML keeps updating properly. Also the cloud network Cloudflare may be involved.
You (or I) actually don't know the physical and logical configuration of the 8ch website. A website can be distributed with different functions on different machines.
8ch also has a custom caching component called alacrity that has had some upgrades.

It is a deliberate attack upon morality, values, faith, family, normalcy, decency… Long-planned and executed in a gradual manner over a very long time frame. Oldfags who have deliberately avoided overexposure to harmful media over a lifetime can see it more clearly since they can recall how things were many decades ago, and have been observing the changes.
Sharp sudden changes cause reaction and pushback, but slow gradual changes infiltrate without resistance. They laid the groundwork with gradual changes over decades, but now the pace has really picked up.
I think we were getting real near the endgame when Donald Trump was elected and threw a monkeywrench disrupting the total satanic takeover of humanity. We're still at war though, in the moral/mental/psychological space.
